Castings: an engineering wonder!L'Oreal Castings

Because it doesn't hurt your hair! It's cheap! It's easy! None of that Clairol "Natural Instincts" crap. This is the *real deal*. Trust me. It makes your hair incredibly soft and shiny, doesn't take *any* of the natural color out of your hair but adds a tint of beee-yoooo-tiful color (esp. in sunlight). Best of all, if you like it, it lasts for three months. Best of all, if you *don't* like it, it lasts for three months —and then it's gone and you can try a great new shade. It even shows up in superdark brown hair like mine! It's the best! (I even am doing a coloring job in "Redwood" as I write this)

Housewife Notes: While I doubt Loreal's wisdom in naming their product after earthworm droppings, I can vouch for the delightful color Castings produces. In particular, Redwood is indeed lovely. More importantly, it has ingenious product packaging. Rather than having to pour one little bottle into the other, you simply snap two small bottles together to produce the Uberbottle. It also includes a swell conditioning shampoo, also in a pleasant little bottle.

If you have a product you think everyone should try, submit it using this handy form.
