Mod Podge is a thick, gluey
substance I suspect is actually just boiled-down Elmer's glue. It comes
in two varieties: Glossy (orange
label) and Matte (yellow label).
I prefer the Glossy, and so should you. You can find it at any craft store.
Now I will teach you the
secrets of Mod Podge. This is what you will need:
Glossy Mod Podge
one of those cheap spongy
brushes
many pictures
scissors
an object
The idea is to cover your object
of choice with pictures! It will work with shrines, boxes, furniture,
frames, books, walls, and just about anything else. The best kind of pictures
to use are naked ladies or religious figures. You should never use pictures
of cats or children or celebrities. They ruin any project.
Coat your object with Mod
Podge, then a picture, then press down, smooth out the air bubbles,
add more Mod Podge, and you're on your way! You can't use too much.
Layer it on! Go hog wild! Just make sure you let each layer dry before
adding more, or it will stay cloudy (it's clear & glossy when dry).
It
is always a good idea to add glitter when you are finished. Now you
have a present that even the Girl Who Has Everything could not resist!
Here is an example of a
wonderful Mod Podged gift!
