Kristi's Coveted Party Toasts

I just lived for these at my parents' parties when I was a little kid.

cocktail rye (a.k.a. “party rye”)
bacon, cut into 1" squares
American cheese slices, quartered

Preheat broiler. Arrange the tiny bread slices on a cookie sheet. Top each with a quarter of a slice of cheese and a piece of bacon. Broil just a few minutes, until cheese is bubbly and bacon is crisp.
